Reeve/Drop Loop Rope Protector

Compatible with Petzl ASAP LOCK and similar mobile fall arrestors

The ASAP Protector & Spacer is a physical, ready-to-use component designed to reduce rope interaction risks when using a mobile fall arrestor in drop loop haul or reeving systems.

Inspired by Petzl’s own reference design shown in their technical rescue guidance, this spacer is installed between the Mobile Fall Arrest Device and the Bottom Pulley, managing separation in a known high-risk contact zone.

• Rope size: 10.5–11.5 mm

• Compatible with: Petzl ASAP LOCK and similar mobile fall arrestors such as the Edelrid Fuse.

Rope contact over the spacer edge is uncommon in practice. The geometry follows the intent of Petzl’s reference design to minimize awkward or asymmetric loading if the system is dynamically loaded.
